Typical Business Title(s): Field Service Technician Definition: Performs client-site servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of product field support, including system hardware and software, Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures. Determines most cost-effectiverepair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require technical education. Responsibilities may include: - Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations - Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower-level employee - Problems are typically non-routine but complexity is limited - For the USA: typically non-exempt position
