Quadient is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper to oversee the shipping, receiving, organizing, and storing of goods in our warehouse.
You role in our Future:
Receiving:
Ensure accurate receipt of incoming goods.
Inspect and verify goods against invoices or other documents.
Record shortages and reject damaged goods.
Organizing:
Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
Maintain an orderly and efficient warehouse layout.
Storing:
Store inventory following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
Ensure inventory is properly stored and organized.
Conduct monthly inventory counts.
Shipping:
Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping.
Prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents.
Assemble containers and crates, record contents, pack goods, and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
Inventory and Mail Management:
Manage daily mail operations.
Maintain inventory warehouse security.
Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems.
Ensure all incoming shipments are accurately noted.
Equipment Maintenance:
Operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
Maintain warehouse equipment in good working condition.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.
Advise management of any issues with inventory, carriers, warehouse equipment, etc.
Your profile
Familiar with warehouse procedures
Familiar with shipping procedures and carrier requirements (e.g., Purolator, LTL, etc.)
Good organizational skills
Physical ability to lift 70 lbs
Ability to operate a lift truck and reach truck
Familiar with inventory procedures
Computer literate
Good communication skills
